Two people were injured in a shooting at UCLA on Wednesday morning, prompting a massive response from local and federal law enforcement, officials said.
The campus was placed on lockdown just after 10 a.m., as police searched for the gunman, according to the university.
Two people were shot, UCLA spokesman Tod Tamberg confirmed. Their identities and conditions were unknown.
People are being asked to shelter in place in an engineering building on the campus, the university said.
