Man accused in quadruple murder has first appearance in Pitt County Monday

The man suspected of killing a Greenville mother and her three daughters will have his first appearance in Pitt County court Monday morning.
Dibon Toone is charged with the murder of Garlette Howard. Police say they expect additional murder counts to be added for the deaths of her daughters, 11-year-old Bryana Carr, 7-year- old Ayona Toone, and 6-year-old Mayona Toone.
Toone is the father of two of the girls, and family members say he and Howard were married.
Toone was arrested by U.S. Marshals and police in Richmond, Virginia last week, after the four bodies were found in their Grovemont Drive townhome Tuesday night.A Greenville man who is suspected of killing a woman and her three children is back in Pitt County.Dibon Toone was booked into the Pitt County jail shortly after 4:30 p.m.Greenville police detectives drove to Richmond, Virginia this afternoon to return Toone to face charges. The man said nothing to reporters as he was being led into the detention center by three officers.He was arrested by Richmond police and U.S. Marshals some four hours after the bodies of Garlette Howard and her three young daughters were discovered by Greenville officers at a town home on Grovemont Drive.Toone was the father of two of those children, according to police.Police say the autopsies on the four victims showed they died from “traumatic head injury by assault” and believe Toone used a hammer.Toone is expected to go before a Pitt County judge Monday morning for his first court appearance.
He was driving Howard's work-issued car.
Funeral services are planned for the four victims this Saturday in Williamston.
